On Tuesday 16th
of June, 2009, at early morning, a small fire took place
in Midor Refinery,
Alexandria
when a tube ruptured in one of the air coolers of the
hydrocracker unit which operates at very high pressure.
The fire was contained
and extinguished using advanced fire fighting system. No
injuries or loss of personnel occurred.
The refinery operations
continued uninterrupted with all other process units'
on-stream.
The Hydrocracker unit is
expected to be on-stream by the first of September 2009.
