MIDOR refinery is designed to process a mixture of Arabian light and heavy crude oil.
The refinery processes different kinds of crude, maintaining an overall blend of 32 API following the
American Petroleum Institute, in order to achieve maximum productivity.
All the processed crude is being supplied from different sources like, Light Basrah,
Qarun Mix, Arab Light, Arab Heavy, Western Desert Mix, Iranian Light, Iranian Heavy, Belayim Mix, Rebco, ….etc.
MIDOR refinery processes some low value petroleum products like Fuel Oil & Waxy Distillates; to be converted into high quality products through Hydrocracker and Delayed Coker units, benefiting from the available capacity of these two units and reaching their ultimate operation capacity.
The crude is supplied to the refinery through its proximity to Sumed tanks; most of which is being purchased by ITT Sidi Kerir System which helps reduce direct cost of the company's activities.
The company's theory is to protect the purchased crude, to tolerate the severe fluctuation in crude oil prices internationally. Hence its policy changes according to international future market trends. |
